“In 2011, about 120,200 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were living with a partner, and of these 0.9% (about 1,100 people) were living with a partner of the same sex. In comparison, of the 8.9 million non-Indigenous people living with a partner, 0.7% lived with a partner of the same sex.”
